Thermal Spray System: |
Plasma spray is a kind of thermal spray processes which entails creating a coating by spraying particles softened by the heat generated from the ionized inert gas (Plasma) onto a substrate. The particles to be sprayed are normally in the form of powder which is injected into the plasma flame to be heated to high temperature of over 15,000 degrees centigrade. The particles are then accelerated and propelled onto the parts' surface, where they rapidly cool off to form the coating.
Any material can be sprayed to give the substrate a coating, making plasma spray a flexible thermal process, hence applicable on a wide range of materials. It can be used to coat ceramic oxides, tungsten, and tantalum refractory materials. It can be applied in automotive, medical, printing, semiconductor, agriculture or aerospace industries. Jet engines are the typical example of the application of this form of thermal spray.
Based on different needs and requirements of customers' applications, Clinmat markets two versions of plasma spray system as below. Please click below pictures for details.
